Description:
The leader sends a “mind reader” away from the group (who is in on the trick). The group then picks an object in the group and calls for the mind reader to return to the group. The leader points out various objects in the group asking the mind reader if that particular object is the one the group is thinking of. The object in question is always the one after the leader points out an object that is black.

Once they have chosen an object they call the “mind reader” back. The leader begins asking the mind reader if objects pointed to is the chosen object. The object chosen will be the third object pointed to after a black object has been pointed at.
