Nature and Scope:
Reporting to the Program Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring excellence in member service through the administration of all aquatic programs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the provision of a safe aquatic environment through the hiring, supervision and training of lifeguards, instructors and volunteers;
- Develop, control and evaluate the aquatic area budget including the purchase of equipment;
- Evaluate and monitor the consistent delivery of aquatic services;
- Provide leadership training for all aquatic staff through role modeling and coaching;
- Represent Eau Claire YMCA or Crowfoot YMCA on the Association Aquatic Workgroup;
- Communicate effectively in a variety of settings; and
- Offer support to the rest of the Program department and branch as needed including performing Duty Manager shifts, conducting subsidy appointments and campaigning for the YMCA Strong Kids campaign.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Physical Education, Kinesiology or a related degree preferred;
- Minimum two years aquatic supervisory experience;
- YMCA Swim Instructor;
- Current Standard First Aid and Basic Rescuer CPR;
- NLS Instructor preferred;
- YMCA Canada Aquatic Trainer certification preferred; and
- YMCA/AFLCA Aquatic Instructor certification is an asset.

Salary: $40,152.94/yr (competitive benefits package including pension plan)
