Details: Genesis Place is currently accepting applications for an experienced lifeguard to fill the full time salaried position of Shift Leader to join our dynamic team of recreation specialists who encourage and promote the safe enjoyment of aquatic activities.
Applicants should be mature and responsible, exhibit strong leadership qualities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask. As part of the Aquatics team, key accountabilities include; lifeguarding, instructing aquatic programs, supervision of staff and pool area, oversee pool operations and maintenance, leadership of junior staff, as well as administrative duties as required.

The successful candidate must be 18+ years of age with a minimum of 2 years related lifeguarding experience and be able to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts; plus have the flexibility to work different shifts each week. Qualifications include the following current awards;

Current National Lifeguard Service award
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
Standard First Aid and CPR C
The following awards would be considered an asset;

AFLCA Aquatic Specialty status or CALA
NLS Instructor
Water Safety Instructor Trainer
Standard First Aid Instructor
Lifesaving Instructor
Pool Operations Level 1
